MUTEK Match

MUTEK Match is the festival's traditional networking event. This year, MUTEK Match will take place on August 23 (morning) at 7 doigts de la Main. This exclusive networking event for international and Canadian cultural organizations in the field of digital art, culture and electronic music is designed to create links between targeted international professionals (buyers) and Canadian artists.

With MUTEK Match, in addition to actively promoting the Canadian artists on the festival program, we want to ensure that accredited professionals and our partners, both international and local, made the most of their MUTEK experience. It was important for us to create a special event where they could all be in the same room, with the right information to make meaningful and effective connections.

What artists have to say

It was the first festival where we felt the organizers really cared about the artists' careers. It was incredibly thoughtful and beneficial. We made connections that we wouldn't have been able to establish elsewhere and had discussions about our career that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. We truly felt supported!

- April Aliermo (Phedre)

I really appreciated MUTEK Market. It's always challenging to meet the 'right people' in any industry, and the fact that MUTEK vouched for me meant I had a much better chance of being taken seriously than if I had met these people in a different context. MUTEK has already been a great help in my career, and this market experience was the icing on the cake.

- Greg Debicki (Woulg)

What professionals are saying:

The resources of MUTEK Market and the one-on-one meetings were very useful and of high quality, with truly interesting artists.

- Blake Kammerdiener | SXSW, Austin, US

For a festival like ours, the exposure was fantastic. It was very easy to connect with artists and organizations, not only Canadian but also European.

- Yves Conrardy | Rotonde Festival, Luxembourg
